Faith to Conquer the Impossible

In one of the moments of greatest crisis in the nation of Israel, God chose someone to do things that others would not dare to do, and that was Gideon.

“When the angel of the Lord appeared to Gideon, he said, ‘The Lord is with you, mighty warrior.’” Judges 6:12

In one of the moments of greatest crisis in the nation of Israel, God chose someone to do things that others would not dare to do, and that was Gideon. He came from a dysfunctional family, having been born out of wedlock, and none of his brothers looked at him with respect. Because of this he had to endure rejection and contempt from both his own family and the community.

In addition, Gideon found himself fleeing from his enemies, hidden in a cave trying to protect some food. It was under these conditions that God appeared to him and said: "Jehovah is with you, mighty warrior."

Can you imagine this scene? A brave and valiant man on the run and in hiding? Many times the same thing happens with us, God gives us a Word, but when we look at our circumstances it seems more like a mockery than anything else.

However, this was a divine decree. God saw in him the qualities that were required in a leader to be able to face one of the most powerful armies of that time. We must understand that God does not see the circumstances how we see them, nor as other people see them. Note that even Gideon himself was not aware of what was happening; for instead of rejoicing, he tried to vent, expressing all his frustration.
But the Lord spoke to him of the purpose he had determined for him: “And the Lord looked at him and said: Go in this your strength, and you will save Israel from the hand of the Midianites. Didn't I send you? "

With these words the Lord was putting a powerful dose of faith in Gideon's life. We all know the end of this story, and it is Gideon winning a tremendous victory and becoming one of the most outstanding leaders in the history of Israel.

Now, the most important thing that the Lord wants to speak to you today is that you may understand that this story is not something ancient or distant, but that it is this same thing that the Lord wants to do in your life.

Think for a moment on what your need is; maybe it’s family restoration? Or maybe it's the loss of a loved one? Problems in your finances or your character? What seems impossible can be transformed in an instant, when we receive faith through the Word.

Faith sometimes seems like the smallest of seeds, but when it grows, in someone’s life, it becomes a tree of life for those who possess it.

Remember that without faith it is impossible to please God, but don't worry as we all have a measure of faith! And I know that at this time an awakening will come, so that you, like Gideon, can conquer the impossible.

Can you believe it?
